Ruff

The past week has definitely been one of the worst in history.  It seems like even though the skies have been beautifully blue, they couldn't be more gray.  My mom's diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer has thrown us all for a crazy spin.  She is the rock of our family; the foundation.  If she crumbles I can't imagine being without her.  She is everything to me and my family.  I will say that I've felt God's hand in this and in providing comfort to me.  The biggest blessing has been my four amazing children.  I'm a lucky mamma for sure!  I'm so very grateful to those that have given their love and support to my parents.  You realize who your true friends are in situations like these, and my parents have been blessed for sure.

We also got news on Monday that Matt and his four kids had been in an accident.  Sweet Syd is only 4 months old and it terrified me to think that she could have been hurt.  My sweet kids were just as concerned as I was, and they asked their dad if they could kneel and say a prayer to Heavenly Father and thank him for watching out for our family and keeping them from getting hurt.  Sometimes you wonder if it's even sinking in and then you have great moments like this!

Tuesday, our cousin and nephew Addison was involved in another accident, and Wednesday, Fammie was hit by another car.  It keeps feeling like this gray clould of gloom keeps following us and getting darker.  We are grateful that no one was hurt and realize the outcome could be much much worse.  THe saying really is true...when it rains, it pours!!
